A Green Sunset, festa mensal que une música eletrônica e arte no MIS, apresenta em julho o DJ e produtor americano Daniel Wang. Tido como referência para uma série de DJs e músicos atuais e um dos responsáveis pela volta da disco music, o DJ californiano, que estudou literatura e linguistica, descobriu sua real vocação trabalhando numa loja de discos e sintetizadores (Dr. Sound Music Store, em Nova York, famosa loja de instrumentos musicais antigos). Lá, se aprofundou no mundo dos teclados, órgãos e sintetizadores vintage. Toda essa bagagem torna cada set de Daniel Wang uma aula de história da dance music, misturando novidades da new disco e house com disco music desconhecida e alguns clássicos.
Antes da apresentação de Wang, a festa fica por conta do residente DJ Tahira, que começa a tocar às 16h. Todos os participantes da Green Sunset recebem um vale-drink de cortesia da SKYY Vodka e uma Margarita Cuervo Frozen, da José Cuervo. Esta edição também segue com a parceria com a Tricky Hips, que oferece a venda de camisetas e bolsas em material ecológico da Green Sunset. Por conta do evento, não haverá serviço de valet, pois o espaço do estacionamento será utilizado para receber o público.
Exposições
Quem adquire o ingresso para a festa tem acesso livre a todas as exposições em cartaz no Museu. Nesta edição, o público confere Ralph Gibson & Larry Clark – Amizade, fotos e filmes, mostra inédita que celebra o companheirismo profissional de dois dos maiores fotógrafos norte-americanos da contemporaneidade. Entre nus esteticamente poéticos e fotos de sensualidade exuberante, o perfil minimalista e surrealista de Ralph estará em plena sintonia com a exploração da realidade juvenil, violenta e pungente que Larry retrata com maestria em sua obra.
